DMT gives big to Children’s Wish Foundation

Winnipeg’s DMT Development Systems Group has surpassed itself once again, making a record-breaking donation to the Manitoba and Nunavut Chapter of Children’s Wish Foundation for the third year in a row. The auto industry IT solutions provider matches employee contributions dollar for dollar through its “Payroll for the Needy” program.

This year’s record sum of $110,104 will help the Children’s Wish Foundation fullfull a number of wishes of local children with high risk, life threatening diseases.

“We are thrilled to see corporations like DMT put their weight behind the support of such a worthy cause while empowering their team members to do the same,” says Maria Toscano, provincial director of Children’s Wish Foundation, Manitoba and Nunavut Chapter.

In the 14 years that DMT has been running the “Payroll for the Needy” program, staff participation has been 100 per cent — an “unbelievable level of generosity,” according to DMT president and CEO Glen Demetrioff.

“I hope the mere fact that a group of 200 people are able to make such a large impact on the lives of others serves as inspiration for others to come together and rally behind a cause as worthy as Children’s Wish Foundation,” he says.
