John Paul or “JP” Tremblay landed his first acting gig in Mike Clattenburg’s award-winning film, One Last Shot. But he rose to fame as Julian, the ex-con in the hit TV series, Trailer Park Boys. Since then, he created Swearnet.com, an uncensored Internet channel with his co-stars Robb Wells and Mike Smith — aka Ricky and Bubbles from TPB. He also co-wrote and played himself in the flick, Swearnet, which chronicled their adventures as they launched the online channel. Tremblay has also appeared in the films Hole-In-One, Virginia’s Run, and several Trailer Park Boys movies including The Big Dirty, Don’t Legalize It and Countdown to Liquor Day. Before acting, he owned a chain of pizza restaurants in PEI. Born in Halifax, N.S., Tremblay is married with three kids.
“I’ve always been a car guy. It runs in my family. I’ve had a black Corvette, a Mustang SVT and a Ford Bronco in the show. The Bronco was crazy — it went through a lot of transmissions. I’ve had a lot of different cars.”
“My ’67 Camaro RS is a very fast car. It’s my favorite car of all time. I’ll never sell that!”
“I’m a Porsche guy and I’m a speed freak. I’ve always had this thing for speed ever since I can remember,” says the 47-year-old actor, writer and producer.
