Brian Murphy & Josh Bailey
Brian Murphy has joined Canadian Black Book as its new Vice-President of Research and Editorial, effective April 12, said the company. He will be taking over from Josh Bailey, who has left the company to pursue other interests.
“Josh has been a mainstay at CBB for many years and his very valuable contributions will be missed. We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors,” said Brad Rome, President of CBB, in a written release.
As CBB’s new lead analyst, Murphy will help direct internal CBB efforts to help the industry abreast of Canadian automotive trends, said Rome.
“We feel fortunate to welcome Brian to the role, whose credentials and passion equal that which Josh brought to the position,” said Rome. “His prior positions in product management and marketing in the telecommunications sector bode well for the continued expansion of CBB’s digital solutions and I know that Brian will play a significant role supporting the growth and evolution of our business into the future.”
Prior to his new role, Murphy spent five years at J.D. Power where he held senior leadership roles in the Global Automotive Consulting practice. He has also worked in product planning, pricing, market research and marketing and advertising in management positions for Nissan Canada and Subaru.
Murphy holds a Bachelor in Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from McMaster University.
