Back in June, Porsche Centre Oakville hosted a special event in support of Porsche’s re-entry into the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans. The event, which actually coincided with the race, lasted 24 hours and brought more than 500 guests to the facility. Following a review of all global submissions for marketing innovation over the past few months, the Porsche AG marketing competition felt Porsche Centre Oakville’s innovative Le Mans themed event was worthy of first place in the Porsche AG marketing competition.

In response to the recent announcement, Francesco Policaro, General Manager at Porsche Centre Oakville said “we are thrilled to be recognized globally for our marketing innovation. With our 24 Hours of Le Mans event, we tried hard to give our customers an exciting experience and to celebrate and support Porsche’s re-entry into the famous European sports car challenge. It was a great day here at Porsche Centre Oakville as witnessed by the abundance of current and future Porsche owners that participated in our award-winning experience.”

Porsche Centre Oakville’s contest win is seen as a clear demonstration of the dealership’s passion for the brand. More importantly, it indicates the level to which Porsche Centre Oakville is willing to go to in its efforts to engage the community, treat clients with care and consistently exceed their expectations.
With the 24 Hours of Le Mans event, guests were treated to a wide variety of activities including a family BBQ, popcorn station and ice cream truck, as well as face painting and facility tours.

There was even a Junior Grand Prix, which included a 65-foot-long inflatable racetrack for kids of all ages to race Porsche pedal cars. For those who didn’t want to miss the World Cup, Porsche Centre Oakville created a custom World Cup Lounge that played matches day and night and provided a foosball table to stir up the viewers’ competitive edge. The legendary transformation of a Porsche 2010 997 GT3 RS into a Le Mans race car, complete with iconic red roll cage and a Le Mans-inspired vehicle wrap, provided a final spectacle that kept guests in awe. The revamped vehicle was unveiled — fittingly — during the event’s twenty-fourth and final hour.
