Amy Fleming, Senior Director, Chief Operating Officer (CNW Group/Mazda Canada Inc.)

Amy Fleming, Senior Director and Chief Operating Officer of Mazda Canada, has been recognized as one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry. This is the second time Fleming has received the prestigious honour, which recognizes female leaders in the automotive field.

These women are the ones who make major decisions and have significant influence at their companies. The process attracted hundreds of entries from Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The list includes engineers, mobility leaders, manufacturing and marketing executives, financiers, dealer principals and designers.

“Being recognized once is an honour. Being recognized twice speaks volumes about the caliber of Amy’s leadership,” said David Klan, President and CEO of Mazda Canada, in a statement. “Her vision, passion, and unwavering commitment to living our values to drive our industry forward with purpose is truly inspirational.”

Fleming started her career in 1992 at a car dealership in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.  She became Mazda Canada’s first Chief Operating Officer in April 2023, and currently oversees the OEM’s national sales, marketing, fixed operations and customer experience operations.
