Dwain Samuels new Director of Sales and Data Licensing at CBB

Canadian Black Book (CBB), which has been the trusted Canadian automotive industry source for vehicle valuations, data, and insights for over 60 years, announced that they have hired Dwain Samuels as their new director of sales and data licensing.

As a new addition to CBB’s head office team, Samuels is excited to add value to the company. “Over the past number of years, I’ve been paying a lot of attention to the activity and overall industry dialog that Canadian Black Book has been generating, which is hard to miss,” Samuels said in a recent press release. “Bottom line is that CBB is a high-profile industry player in Canada, and I’m proud that they selected me to join the team.”

With over 20 years of experience in auto finance and SaaS, Samuels will bring his extensive experience building and forging relationships with OEMs and dealer groups across Canada to CBB. His experience includes the creation of end-of-lease remarketing and prime/near prime programs within the Canadian auto market.

“Dwain brings a great mix of experience, reputation and knowledge to his new role with Canadian Black Book,” Yolanda Biswah, vice president of sales & data licensing, added.

According to Canadian Black Book, the company’s goals for 2021 include “bringing to market an Enhanced Vehicle Matching (EVM) solution, which will allow the industry to more consistently decode 17-digit VINs down to a specific trim package, allowing a more precise vehicle valuation.” As the company grows and expands their team, they are “excited to continue to serve the needs of the Canadian automotive industry,” Biswah said.
