Kijiji is preparing to launch a new car shopping platform known as “Kijiji Autos”: a website/app dedicated to helping Canadian consumers research and find new and used vehicles.
A sneak peak of the app was recently provided to attendees of the DealerTalkX event in Toronto, which took place between October 10-11 at The Great Hall on Queen street. “You have been asking for an alternative — and now you have it,” said Leanne Kripp, Head of Autos at Kijiji Canada, during the conference.
Kijiji’s team surveyed 500 dealers and more than 2,000 Canadians to better understand what shoppers were looking for. The company says the website was born out of a need to provide consumers with a more convenient, easy and personalized shopping experience.
“We know that by making it easier for Canadians to shop, we are also making it easier for Canadians to sell,” said Kripp. “By leveraging the 16.8 million monthly users on Kijiji and investing in the growth of the car-focused audience that can exist on Kijiji Autos, we can connect the full spectrum of car shoppers — low, mid and high funnel automotive seekers — to dealers and sellers, creating more opportunities for buyers and sellers to transact successfully in their communities.”
The website is expected to feature elements like advanced browsing capabilities; seamless integration with login info and dealer inventory from Kijiji; personalization (with the use of “favourites”); a more user-friendly interface; advanced price analysis and the integration of dealer ratings and reviews.
The new Kijiji Autos platform will be available before the end of the year.
