Hyundai Auto Canada was named one of Canada’s Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work for the seventh consecutive year, the OEM announced in a news release.

They were also named one of the 2024 Best Workplaces with Most Trusted Executive Teams and a 2024 Best Workplaces for Women. In its update, the OEM said it is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace that benefits the current team and attracts new talent to the industry.

“It is rewarding to see how team members across every level embody our corporate culture every day, and actively contribute to sustaining a positive and equitable workplace culture,” said Kirk Merrett, Director of Human Resources and Administration, in a statement.

He added that the company wants to promote “positive morale and camaraderie” among its team members. Merrett said “every one of them is intrinsic to building a more resilient, successful and sustainable business.”

The OEM is also clear that it leads with a people-first approach, looks to its team members for feedback, and that diversity, equity and inclusion are guiding principles for its executive leadership team. Cross-departmental mentorship is also encouraged. And management reserves one day a year for team building and another for team volunteering. The latter day is meant to serve the community.

“Receiving recognition as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for seven consecutive years is a significant achievement,” said Merrett in a statement.
