Policaro Group opens BMW dealership in Etobicoke

The Policaro Group recently announced the opening of its new BMW dealership in Etobicoke, Ont., the group’s second BMW store in the Greater Toronto Area.

BMW Etobicoke is 65,000 square-feet and offers a 10-car showroom, nine-bay customer service drive-through department, 24-bay service department, six-bay hand wash and detail department, a fully automatic car wash, and two LED vehicle display towers — among other things.

“We are excited to expand and share our passion for automotive retail with the City of Toronto,” said Franceso Policaro, CEO of Policaro Group, in a statement. “With its highly visible location, proximity to downtown Toronto and easy access to the QEW and Highways 401 and 427, BMW Etobicoke will be a recognizable landmark.”

Located along the Gardiner Expressway at 440 Evans Avenue in Etobicoke, the dealership sits on 5.5 acres of land on an existing industrial site and used repurposed building and site materials. The dealership includes the latest in electric vehicle infrastructure and offers things like bike storage, green space, and a variety of mobility to customers.

“With BMW Etobicoke, Policaro Group has embraced the BMW Group’s Retail.Next concept and invested in the future of the BMW retail experience,” said Andrew Scott, President and CEO of BMW Group Canada, in a statement.

He later added that “we want all of our customers to feel comfortable when they engage with our brand, and we believe the Retail.Next design — and the digital processes and tools that go along with it — will envelop them in a sense of welcome that few other retail experiences can offer.”

The new dealership is expected to create more than 100 new jobs.
