CADA Summit selling out quickly

cada-summit-300The CADA Summit is creeping up but spots are already selling out for the must-attend industry event, says Patrice Maltais, Industry Relations Officer for the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association, and coordinator for the Summit.

“Registrations are on pace to match last year’s sell out, so we’re very happy with the response to date,” says Maltais. “We still have space left, but one would be well advised to snap up a spot before it’s too late.”

The day-long jam-packed conference, taking place at the Hyatt Regency in Toronto on Feb. 11, 2015, is returning for a third year to gather the industry’s movers and shakers to find out where the future of automotive retail in Canada is heading.

This year’s summit will look to the future from a technology and connectivity standpoint, and will explore issues related to current and future economic trends, the connected car and how dealers can foster relations with customers, car sharing in an urban environment and short to mid-term goals in the Canadian market, among other key topics.

Although the Summit focuses primarily on how these issues affect the Canadian landscape, a lineup of world-class speakers will come from across North America to share their diverse perspectives, including Google Automotive Lead Joe Maciariello, Ken Greenberg, world-renowned urbanist and former Director of Urban Design and Architecture for the City of Toronto, industry researcher Richard Wallace and Mike Jackson, CEO of Auto Nation, the largest auto retailer in the U.S.

Having a Canadian point of view is often hard to come by without just following news and conventions from the U.S., says Maltais.

“That’s a lot packed in one day without having to go through customs or get 80 cents on the dollar,” he adds.
